Ann Dean was an older sister of my great grandmother, Lucy Dean Brown. The Dean family lived in Lewiston, Niagara Co. NY from abt 1848. Ann came on a ship around the Horn to marry her Lewiston suitor, Thomas H. Peck, who had come to California with his parents during the Gold Rush. They were married in 1855 in Calaveras County, CA. She and Thomas had a large family of children. Ann died young of cancer.
