Mrs. Edna Vesper Abercrombie, of Ranburne, Alabama, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013. She was 91.
Mrs. Abercrombie was born on March 22, 1922 in Ranburne, Alabama to late Newman and Etta Handley Smith. She was employed as a seamstress at BBI and a member of Union Hill Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Abercrombie was preceded in death by her husband Alfred Abercrombie; her brother and sisters Kirby Smith, Arlen Stapler and Leila McDaniel.
Survivors include her daughter Minni Ree and her husband Henry Jackson; her grandsons John Jackson, Jason and Krystal Jackson; her great-grandchildren Sara Grace and Emma Claire Jackson and her brother and sister Joe Smith and Ora Walker.
Memorial services for Mrs. Edna Abercrombie will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. (Georgia time) at Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gerald Rogers officiating.
