Birth: Aug. 3, 1884
Death: May 20, 1916

Motor racing driver and WWI Fighter Pilot. Born Georges Louis Frederic Boillot in Beaulieu-de-Valentigney, France, he won the French Grand Prix at Dieppe in 1912 in a Peugeot, and again the following year at Amiens. At the outbreak of war, he joined the French Air Force and became a driver for staff officers, but eventually began flying Niewport fighter planes. He was awarded first the Croix de Guerre then on 16 May the Legion d'Honneur after three 'kills'. Four days later in a dogfight over Verdun, he shot down a fourth enemy plane but he himself was shot down, and crashed near Bar-le-Duc.
