Maj. Robert Allen died November 30, 1876, at his home in Pike county, Ga., aged 84 years and 7 months. Maj. Allen was born in Green county, Ga., 30th of April 1792. He removed to Pike county in the year 1822, being one of the first settlers of the county-- he located on the lot of land he drew from the State shortly before, on which he lived until his death.
