the son of Lyle I. Kidd and Doris E. Humphrey Kidd of the Everton Community. Jeff was raised in the Everton Church and is a 1971 graduate of Connersville High School. Following high school he joined the U.S. Army and served for two years. He then worked at Philco/Ford until 1977 when he joined the U.S. Marine Corps where he served for nine years. He served in the Military Police and attained the rank of Staff Sergeant. He received training in the Criminal Investigation Division and the Naval Intelligence Service. While in service he attained top security clearance and among other duties he was assigned to protect President Reagan and to provide security for the top secret Black Bird Jet program. He was primarily stationed in Okinawa, Camp Lejune, NC; Albany, GA; and Anniston, AL. Upon release from the military he was employed as a manager for the Sherwin-Williams Paint Company and later with Fayette Tool and Die Company. He was last employed with Nixon Tool in Richmond until his health no longer permitted him to work. Jeff enjoyed playing softball and was on a Marine traveling league while in service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf, playing pool and Texas Hold-Em. In addition to his parents he is survived by a daughter and son in law, Carron Kidd Williams & Ben, Connersville; a son Ryan K. Kidd, Straughn, IN; a brother Scott I. Kidd, Connersville; one granddaughter, Aleigha R. Williams; his former wife Janet Kidd; two nieces, Odessa King and Aubrey Kidd, and one nephew Brandon Kidd and several cousins, aunts and uncles. He is preceded in death by a brother Russell K. (Rusty) Kidd and a sister Lorri King.
