Married to Allen Leo Britton in Clovis, NM on December 3, 1949. Six Children - Lois Marie, Jimmy Ray, William Rube, Carolyn Gay, Sandra Lee and Danny Allen.

She moved to Texas in 1920 with her Parents, William Grover Johnson and Eva Ellen Neely Johnson from Kentucky. They are buried in Rowe Cemetery in Hedley, Texas.

Laura had three brothers, William Alfred, Virgil Dale, and Ruben Warren and two sisters, Desbia Etta, and Dorothy Joyce.
