Progress Bulletin, December 1976.

Lawrence T. Eastes was the son to Marshall T. Eastes and Ella McKillip. He was married three times, 1st to Olive Ethelyn Hearn, 2nd to Agnes Irene Small, and 3rd to Martha Nellie Ursula Milner. He fatherd 6 kids. Dorothea, Leni, Jerome, Jackie, Joy, and William.
He worked as a Real Estate broker and many other jobs as the need arose. He was politically active and dedicated. As a young man he attended the Christian Church in Remington, Indiana. He went to the Episcopal Church after he married Ursula.

When a boy, he found himself in the position of being the man of the family at the age of 11. He delivered papers before school and shone shoes after school. On weekends he hunted and fished to put meat on the table. His mother and sisters took in wash. But Dad finished High School and was proud of that fact. His sisters had to leave school in the 8th grade or sooner in order to help at home.

Lawrence had 4 full siblings, Elva Ethel Eastes Babbitt, Virginia Eastes Miiller,Golda May Eastes Love, and Clarence Holman "Pete" Eastes. He also had 3 half brothers from his father's first marriage to Elizabeth Jane Morris. William Harrison Estes , Meredith Frank Eastes, and Walter Alonzo Eastes.

He was a good father to me. I miss him.
