Jon Arthur Casanova IV CHARLESTON - Jon Arthur Casanova IV, 70, of Charleston SC, entered into eternal rest on April 3, 2015. Jon was born in Yonkers, NY on May 28, 1944, to the late Jon A. Casanova III and Lilian Smith Casanova Drury. He served in the Navy and was a lifelong sailor spending the majority of his life living and working on boats as a professional boat captain along with his trusted first mate Jim Scott of Okatie, SC. Jon was an accomplished carpenter and enjoyed renovating boats of all sizes. He was a carefree soul who loved to sail wherever the breeze blew him. We celebrate Jon's love of the sea, his gregarious personality and his fun loving soul. He is survived by his stepmother, Jane Drury, Marquette MI, brother; Arthur Jon Casanova, Beaufort SC, sisters; Stephanie McPherson, Reno, NV, Hazel Flaska, Traverse City MI, Abby Drury, Key Largo, FL, and 5 children; Jon Casanova V (Jana), Runnemede NJ, Eric Casanova (Marie), Mullica Hill NJ, Chris Casanova (Rachel), Northville, Michigan, and their mother, Carole Meade McCollister, Haddonfeild, NJ, Nicole C. Pridgen (Matthew), and her mother Nanette Gaston Casanova, Charleston, SC, Paige Casanova, and her mother Martha Hatfield, Beaufort SC, and 8 grandchildren. He is predeceased by his stepfather, Alfred Drury, Marquette MI, and sisters Jeane Tape, Fairbanks AK, and Tisha Drury, Marquette MI.
