Louise A. Price was born at the farm of her grandfather, Charles Price, near Merna, Illinois, a daughter of George and Thelma Price Clark. Within 6 months after her birth, her parents has divorced and Louise lived with her mother until around 1925 when she went to live with her grandparents, the Prices. She married her first husband, W. E. Hite, in 1943 and was divorced in 1944 or 1945. She married her second husband, Frank J. Gross, in 1946 and he survived her but passed away in April 2001. Louise died of cancer in 1984. She was survived by three children, Don Hite, Frank Gross and Dorothy Beckendorf. Her son Donnie died in May 2004. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, many aunts and uncles and an infant granddaughter.
