Grandma was a wonderful ladyShe was active in the Baptist church at Postoak and an avid quilter.
The neighborhood women had quilting bees with secret pals,. One of her best friends was Ollie Spangler that lived several miles down the road. I remember being given a needle and thread and allowed to participate in the quilting.
She made me a beautiful Tulip girl quilt that I completely wore out by using it constantly. I regret that I didn't realize the significance of her many gifts and keep some.
I miss her soft voice and her beauutiful smile.
When I was 12 she went rock climbing with me( she was 65)
She always made you feel special.
