Son to John Darling and Mary Pace, grandson of Rev. Capt. Drury Pace. Descended from the 1st Pace's at Jamestown, Richard Pace and Isabella Smyth Pace.
Married in Perry Co. Alabama Dec 13th 1835 to Penina Coley Darling.
Family records state burial took place in the Blue Springs Cemetery now abandoned by the town of Blue Springs. His son Mannaseh is buried at Fairfield and his Daughter Eliza Ann Elizabeth Pannell is at Mount Gilead and Tranquilla Jones is at Pleasant Hill all in Union County.
He died in 1887 just over a year after his wife of over 50 years.
