Vicki Lynn Highland was born in Memphis Tn Dec 18th
1972 to William and Linda. Preceeded in death by her
father in June of 2005, also preceeded in death by her
grandparents A.W.and Violet Starnes and Saul and Loney
Highland. Also perceeded in death by a sister Linda
Joann Martin. Vicki passed away on May 1st 2006 she
was 33 years old. She leaves behind her family, that misses her very much.

Vicki was a registered nurse, graduateing with honors
from the NorthEast Mississippi Community College, nursing program in 1995.

Vicki loved interior decorating, she loved living things, she described
herself as a caregiver that needed to show love to
others. Vicki loved Animals owning several dogs over
the years.

Vicki always wanted to take care of people and the
last couple of years found it more and more difficult
to care for herself. Battling a 8 year fight with
Lupus and Connective tissue disease, Vicki was at most
times is cronic pain. Although her sickness progressed
it did not stop her huge heart from loving and
thinking about the care of others.

Vicki loved to cook meals and have people over for
dinner and loved visiting with her friends. Vicki
loved her house and planting flowers and
making things pretty.

Vicki was not bitter about her illness, she knew God
had the power to heal. Vicki also knew God had grace
love and mercy.

Many, including Vicki held out for a healing, a miracle. It was not to be and in 2006 Vicki died of complications and side effects of her Lupus. Like so many people with Auto-Immune disorders relying on the medicine was a constant battle slowly doing damage to her kidneys and liver.

Vicki knew she would enter God's Kingdom She was
baptized as a teenager in the pentacostal church in
Corinth in 1987.

Vicki loved her children and wanted them to have the
best life could offer.

Vicki left us too soon, life will be hard without her, but we know that she is at peace and we rejoice with happy voices but sad hearts.

"Only in dreams can we hope to see that precious smile, until the time comes that we are all together again"

John 11:4

Every step of the way
Sunny or Cloudy days, "I will be with you every step of the way" "Everytime you laugh or smile, a gleam will be in your eye, That's just me so proud"

"When a breeze blows though your hair, that is just me saying, "Hello"

"When your upset, I am holding your hand, and when your sad remember "I love you so"

When the dark night is over and the sunshine breaks though, it's just me saying "I'm watching over you".

So, be happy my child, live life as well as you can and when it gets rough, remember "Right behind you I stand", and we will be together one bright happy day, for "I am right there with you Every Step of the Way. R.W.H

Your missed more everyday by those that knew you. My prayer for you is that you abound in the grace and peace that is promised, in the presence of the lord that made you and the lord that called you home to serve him in heaven.
