Michael T. Maley 71, of Butler, PA and Vero Beach, FL. died at 12:32 p.m. Wednesday at his daughter's home in Butler after an illness.

He formerly lived in Rattigan, PA and the Sugarcreek area near Chicora.

Born in Donegal Township, PA October 27, 1932, he was the loving son of Daniel S. and Mary L. Double Maley.

Michael had worked out of Local 526 of the Cement Masons Union in Pittsburgh for 45 years and retired in August 1992. He also owned and pumped oil and gas wells in the Rattigan area for years.

He was a member of St. Helen Catholic Church in Vero Beach and the Sugarcreek Chapel of St. Patrick Catholic Church.

Michael played the piano, guitar, mandolin, fiddle, and banjo. He enjoyed composing music and poetry.

During the Korean War, he was a Navy machinist mate third class serving from August 14, 1950 to October 12, 1953.

He was a member of the Chicora VFW and Elks Lodge 170 of Butler.
