ACKERMAN, James A. of 511 W. 1st St., Nooksack, passed away on June 30, 1989, at the age of 70. He was a former employee of Darigold for 35 yrs & was a lifetime resident of Whatcom County. Preceded in death was his wife Lillian "Babe".

He leaves to survive one son, James and wife Lorna, of Nooksack; one daughter, Lynda and husband Gene Moore, of Bremerton; one brother, Harold Ackerman, of Seattle; two sisters, Mildred and husband Al Robinson, of B'ham, Glenna and husband Bill Vollmer, of Battleground, WA; four grandchildren, Tom and Travis Ackerman of Nooksack, Vickie Moore of B'ham, Ron and Beth Moore of USAF; one great granddaughter, Alaina Moore of Texas; numerous nieces & nephews.

Mr. Ackerman was a member of the Advent Christian Church of Nooksack, retired from the Teamsters Local 231, and belonged to the Hopewell Grange.

Memorials may be made to the Pioneer Athletic Club.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 5th at 1 p.m. in the Jerns Leveck Funeral Chapel with Rev. Earl Crouse officiating; interment Nooksack Cemetery.
