The funeral services for, Richard T. Aldridge, 79, of Auburn, AL, will be Friday, November 12, 2004 at 11:00 A.M. at Green Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Auburn, AL, with burial in the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery in Ft. Mitchell, AL. Rev. Jonas Rutledge officiating.
Mr. Aldridge, who passed away Monday, November 8, 2004, at the East Alabama Medical Center was born in Lee County, AL.
Richard, attended Lee County Training School Class of 1946. He later joined the U.S. Navy where he served for four years, and later joined the U.S. Army and served for twenty-eight years.
Survivors include: his wife, Lizzie S. Aldridge of Tacoma, WA; three sons, Richard Earl Aldridge of Phoenix, AZ, Michael Wayne (Colleen) Aldridge of Lacey, WA, and Tony Clifton (Carmel) Aldridge of Melbourne, Australia; two daughters, Jacqueline Denise Aldridge of Tacoma, WA, and Phyllis Doree (Eric) Thompson of Portland, OR; two brothers, John A. (June) Aldridge of Atlanta, GA, and Bill F. (Joy) Aldridge of Richmond, CA; six sisters, Glennie A. Williams of Auburn, AL, Claudia A. Duncan of Flint, MI, Josie A. Bedell of Dayton, OH, Cozetta A. Trimble of Chicago, IL, Verneda A. (Winston) Dowdell of Newnan, GA, and Saundra E. Aldridge of Auburn, AL; seven grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
