Company B, 4th Alabama Infantry, Perry's Brigade, Field's Division, 1st Corps, Army of Northern Virginia, C.S.A.

Residence Tuskegee, AL; 21 year-old single farmer.
Enlisted 4/1/1862 at Yorktown, VA for 12 months' service, he was mustered into "B" Co. AL 4th Infantry as a Private.
Killed in the Battle of The Wilderness, Virginia.

The 4th Alabama Infantry Regiment completed its organization at Dalton, Georgia, in May 1861. The men were recruited in Dallas, Madison, Macon, Lauderdale, Jackson, Marengo, Perry, and Conecuh counties. It suffered 30% casualties of the 250 men in combat at The Wilderness.
