Aloysius F. Keenan, 95, of Morganville, passed away Sunday March 11, 2012 at his daughters home surrounded by his family. He was born in Jersey City where he remained a lifelong resident until moving to Old Bridge and than Morganville 5 years ago. He was a retired superintendant for Roosevelt Stadium in Jersey City which held various sporting events and concerts. Aloysius was an Army Veteran who served during WWII. He was an avid sports fan and had a love for both the New York Yankees and New York Giants. His life was filled with family who were very important to him and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
He was predeceased by his wife of 49 years Sarah Keenan, in 1997 and a brother Joseph Keenan. He leaves behind a son and daughter-in-law Joseph T. and Lori Keenan, a daughter and son-in-law Anne Marie and Greg Powers, and 7 grandchildren James, Sarah, Sean and Kyle Keenan, Travis Lamberson, and Christopher and Matthew Baile.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4-8pm at the Waitt Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 501 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751. A funeral mass will take place on Thursday at 10am at St. Ambrose Church, Old Bridge, followed by interment in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.
