Gregory Lee Heaton, 51, of Middleton passed away Sunday, Sept. 11, 2005 from injuries suffered in an automobile accident. A memorial service will be held Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005 at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church, Cathedral of the Rockies, 11th and Hays in Boise. Services are under the direction of Summers Funeral Homes, Ustick Chapel. Greg was born on Jan. 1, 1954 in Omaha, Neb. to Richard James and Barbara Jane Heaton. They moved to Pocatello when Greg was 4. Then, in 1968, the family moved to Boise. After graduating from Capital High School in 1972, Greg started a career in highway construction, working for Western Construction, Inc. running numerous types of equipment, always with a smile on his face. Then, in 1989, he moved into the office, where he became equipment manager and vice president of Western Construction, Inc. Greg worked closely with his father, Dick and brother, Steve in the family´s construction business for over 30 years. Greg was well known for his big heart and fun loving spirit. Greg´s interests and loves in life were NASCAR, hunting, family, and friends. Greg lived life to the fullest. Greg´s co-workers and employees at Western Construction will forever remember him for his compassion and good humor. He is survived by his wife Danya J. Heaton; parents Richard and Barbara Heaton; son Chad J. Heaton; stepdaughters Melanie and Randy Nitz; brother and sister-in-law Steven and Christina Heaton; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents and his Uncle Dan.
