Homer M. Daggett Jr. was from a prominent family in Attleborough, Massachusetts. He attended Attleborough public schools except for one year at The Connecticut Literary Institute in Suffield, CT. He first taught school in Attleborough; in 1865 he was a bookkeeper; in 1868 he introduced the manufacture of cotton yarn in Attleborough; in 1869 he went to Arkansas and started the first cotton-seed oil mill in that state in 1870. He returned to Attleborough in 1872 and engaged in real estate and insurance businesses. In 1882 he engaged in the manufacture of jewelry. He was elected President of The Interstate Street Railway Company in 1893. The company office was in Pawtucket, RI.
He was Sixth Sargeant of artillery in the Artillery Company in 1886; First Sargeant in 1892.
Married Clara Jane Cook 17 Aug 1875. Married Eliza Green Williams Brown 28 Apr 1903.
He is buried at the Mount Hope Cemetery in North Attleborough,(N.Attleboro).
