Elizabeth was the second of seven children born to Dr. Eliphas Cowan Forbes (1867-1940) and Cora Bell Pitt Forbes (1880-1965). She grew up in Lincoln County, TN and later Ardmore, TN. She married Frank Hill on June 10, 1926. After his death in January 1943, she married Fred Arnold on April 18, 1947. The Arnold's lived in Auburn, Alabama for many years. After Fred died in October 1956, Mrs. Arnold remained in the Auburn area until the mid-70s, before moving to Paducah, Kentucky. She had no children and is buried between her two husbands. She was known to family members as "Aunt T".
