William Walton Bland, 59, died at his home, 402 Marshall, at 12:45 p.m. Thursday. He has lived in Houston for 27 years and was a member of the St. Pauls Methodist Church. Mr. Bland was with the Bonner Oil Company for 14 years and when the Humble Oil Company was organized and purchased the Bonner Oil Company he became associated with the latter firm up until the time of his death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Daisy Toland Bland; three daughters, Misses Lenora, Allyne and Wilna Bland; one son, William W. Bland, Jr., all of Houston; two sisters, Mrs. M. V. Anderson of Houston and Mrs. D. R. Seastrunk of Orange; one brother, J. H. Bland of Dickinson, Texas. Services at the home, 402 Marshall, at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Rev. S. Stephen McKenney officiating. Burial in Forest Park cemetery under direction of Settegast-Kopf Company. Active pallbearers; J. S. Bonner, B. H. Brown, A. L. Dingle, H. A. Lillja, R. B. Campbell, A. B. Campbell, A. D. Mann and R. M. Stephens. These men have been with the Bonner Oil Company for 30 years. Settegast-Kopf directing.
