Mr. Trujillo was born Jan. 26,1939, in Chimayo, NM. He was a Right-Of-Way agent for the New Mexico State Highway Department, District 5 for 23 years, and had recently started as a Purchasing Agent for NMSHTD.

He coached Little League baseball and served as vice president and a board member of the Santa Fe National Little League organization. He was a member of the De Vargas Fiesta staff in 1970 and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a Santa Fe resident for 25 years.

Mr. Trujillo is survived by his wife, Edwina Trujillo of Santa Fe; a son, Ronald Trujillo of Santa Fe; his mother, Bernie Trujillo of Chimayo; and a sister, Christina Trujillo.

Beloved Husband and Wonderful Father He was born in Chimayo, New Mexico in 1939 to Onesimo D. Trujillo Sr. and Bernie Montoya-Trujillo. Moose Worked for the New Mexico State Highway Department District 5 as a Right of Way Agent, and then as a Purchasing Agent for 25 years until his untimely death in 1988 from Cancer. Moose as he was known througout NEW MEXICO served as a coach for the Santa Fe National Little League, and later on Served as Vice President. Moose was very involved in politics throughout Northern New Mexico. He was a proud Democrat, and attended many State and National Democratic Coventions. Growing up Moose was raised in Chimayo, New Mexico, a small town located between Espanola, NM and Truchas, NM. In Chimayo he tended to the family Apple Farm, and the daily chores around the farm. He was a standout Basketball player for the Espanola Hornets. After High School Moose Entered the United Staes Army, and was stationed at Fort Ord on Monterey Bay in California. Moose was part of the 7th Infantry Division. During the Cuban Missle Crisis the 7th Infanty Division parachuted onto various small islands by Cuba and waited patiently as Diplomats worked out ways to avoid Russian Ships from delivering nuclear weapons to Cuba. Moose said it was one of the scariest times in his life, because from the small island that he was on he could see the Russian Ship, and actually thought that he would be going to war. Thankfully that didn't happen, and he returned to Fort Ord, and was Honorably Discharded, Moose decided to stay in California, and worked at numerouse odd jobs. While in California he became a Die Hard DODGER, RAM, and LAKER FAN. He enjoyed going to watch these teams. While in California, he also became interested in Horse Racing, and got very good at picking winners.

Upon returning to New Mexico Moose worked for a short time at the MOLY CORP Mine in Questa, NM until starting his career with the New Mexico State Highway Department. In Late 1963 he met Edwina M. Montoya, and they dated for a year and a half, and then married September 22, 1965 in Santa Fe at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. They established residence in Santa Fe and were blessed with a son Ronald S. Trujillo on December 6, 1968. Moose loved sports, and it showed in his desire to coach his son, and other children in the sports he most loved. He was truly a great Son, Husband, father, Brother and coach.

Although Moose never met his Daughter-In-Law (Amber) or his Grandson (Hunter) and Granddaughter (Krystianna) they are always reminded of who he was and the kind of person he was.

Everytime his grandchildren visit his grave, they always leave a token such as candy or just a picture they've drawn for him.

Although they never knew their grandfather here on earth, they will always be reminded of him

Although he is gone he will never be Forgotten.

Your Son
Ronald S. Trujillo
