William could have been born in KY as he was shown on two different census records as TN on one and KY on the other. William married Mary "Polly" and her maiden name is unknown. They had eight children. We really don't know where William is buried but his last legal transaction was in Grayson Co. TX and his wife died in Grayson Co. TX. He owned land in Hill Co. but was living in Wise Co. with a grandson in 1880. He died before 1883. William was a preacher.
