|Birth: ||Dec. 4, 1832|
Saxony (Sachsen), Germany
|Death: ||Dec. 15, 1870|
Born Augusta Wilhelmina Werner in the Scheibenberg area of Saxony, Germany to Karl August Werner and his wife, Johanne Christiane Wei▀flog, according to records at the family's church in Scheibenberg, St. John's Evangelical Lutheran.
The death date was provided by a Behrens family member.
The family of Wilhelmina Werner Behrens believes she is buried at Bell Cemetery but she has no tombstone. It is thought by the family that Behrend Behrens, her second husband, who is buried at the Grassyville Cemetery, may have honored the memory of his brother, and Wilhelmina's first husband, Siebelt Hinrich Behrens, killed at the battle of Vicksburg, by placing Wilhlelmina at the Bell Cemetery. It should be noted that Wilhelmina may also be buried at the Grassyville Cemetery, but there is no separate stone, nor any inscription on the obelsik gravestone of Behrend Behrends to support that possibility.
According to the Irwin Blume book, "The First 100 Years of the Schumann Family of Fayette Co., Texas," Wilhelmine and her sister, Auguste Werner, came over to America together. Her sister, Auguste Werner Schuhmann, is buried at nearby Waldeck Cemetery.
Both parents were deceased before the girls came to America.
