Her mother parished when Agnes was an infant, and she was raised primarily by her oldest sister who was 20 years her senior.
She began her career with The Bell Telephone Co. in Lawton, Oklahoma in 1915. She would retire from Pacific Bell in Los Angeles, CA in July of 1958.
Agnes met her future husband Arnold August Schiller in Lawton, OK in 1916. They Married in early 1917 near Ft. Sill, OK. Shortly after their marriage, Arnold was sent to France to fight in WWI.
Following the war, She settled with her husband in Kansas City, KS and started a family. First born was a daughter Myrle Jean (October 14, 1921), and then a son Donald Van Schiller who died in infancy.
In the late 1920's She moved to Los Angles County, CA where she remained until her retirement. She and her husband then returned to Central Missouri to live at The Lake of the Ozarks near Camdenton, MO.
Agnes died on May 11, 1966 due to injuries sustained in an auto accident.
