Gertrude Byrd, 98, of Keiser died February 8, 2001
at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Osceola. Born Dec 6, 1903 in Amory, MS, she was a homemaker and a member of Keiser Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her husband Claude Byrd, one daughter Deannie Hepler, and one sister, Minnie Cummings.

Survivors include three sons: Uless Isabell of Avon Park, FL; David Byrd of Osceola, AR; and James Byrd of Warrenton, MO; four daughters: Emma Austin of Osceola, AR; Shelba McDearmon of O'Fallon, MO; Minnie Vanzant of Senath, MO; and Madgie Parker of Keiser, AR; 17 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and nine g-g-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Feb 8 at Roller Swift Funeral Home in Osceola with Rev. Jerry Weathers officiating. Burial followed at Garden Point Cemetery.
