He enlisted in the Marines 13 February 1967,at
the San Antonio Recruiting Office.
Oscar graduated with Platoon 129 from the
San Diego MCRD,with additional training at

to 1st Platoon,Charlie Company,2nd Battalion,
1st Marine Regiment,1st Marine Division.
He died from multiple fragmentation wounds to
the head,back,chest,both buttockas and left
leg from a hostile mortar round fired at the
night defensive position of Charlie,at Cau Do
Bridge,5 kilometers south of Danang City
Oscar was single and served his country for 6
months and 16 days.KIA#15,667.

Oscar was 20 years,1 month and 34 days old.
Survived by his parents;Urbano Roberto &
Ofelia Anzaldua and a sister;Elda of 892 E
His brothers;George,Urbano,Eddie,Richard and
Gilbert and his sisters;Natalie,Mary and Hilda
all of Raymondville.
