Dale worked in Colorado for 10 years returning to Gove County To reside the rest of his life. His earlier life was spent farming. he went to work for the Gove County Road Department in 1950 where he worked until he retired.
Dale never knew a stranger, always had a humerous cheerful disposition and was ready to help anyone in need. He was a member of the Gove United Methodist Church and Odd Fellow Lodge #474.
Dale was preceded in death by his father, Elzie Hugh; mother, Sylvia June and one brother, Delmer.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Mary Arlene Boss; his children, Ardis Bareis and husband Bill and their children, Brenda, Carol, Steven and Robin of Monett, Mo.; Elvin Boss and wife Janet and their children Eric, Genny and Carri of Bennington; his sisters Doris Hannaford, Gove; and Sylvia Bogart, Oakley; and many nieces and nephews, and a host of friends.
The funeral was held in the Gove United Methodist Church at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 with Rev. David Trott officiating. Graveside services were provided by Odd Fellow Fodge #474. Interment was in the Gove cemetery.
