Memorial services for Teri (Upshaw) Cole, were held Tuesday, November 8, 2005 in the Denlow Church with Rev. Dale Garrison officiating. The Kelly’s sang “Sweet Beulah Land,” “Where The Roses Never Fade,” and “He Whispers Sweet Peace To Me.” Burial was in the Denlow Cemetery. Arrangements were under direction of the Craig-Hurtt-Bradley Funeral Home, Mountain Grove.

Teresa Allene “Teri” (Upshaw) Cole, daughter of Cletis and Zelda (Heard) Upshaw, was born on May 20, 1955 in Mountain Grove, Mo. and departed this life on November 4, 2005 in the Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, Mo., from injuries sustained in a automobile accident at Seymour, Mo. She was 50 years, 5 months, and 15 days of age.

Teri grew up in the Norwood, Mo. area and graduated from Norwood High School in 1973. She had made her home in the Norwood area for several years and was employed by Shetlers Grocery in Norwood for the past several months.

Teri was a kind and loving daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her son, Luke. She will be truly missed by her friends and those who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Zelda Upshaw Kelley; and by her grandparents, Eph and Alice Heard and Elaine Shannon.

She is survived by her three sons, Justin Cole of the state of Indiana, Nick Cole of the state of Kansas, and Luke Upshaw of Norwood, Mo.; her father, Cletis Upshaw of Norwood, Mo.; one brother, Mark Upshaw and his wife Chris of Norwood, Mo.; one sister, Lisa Able and her husband Justin of Boise, Idaho; four nieces; two nephews, four great nieces; four great nephews; several aunts; uncles; cousins; and a host of other relatives and friends.
