She was born on October 22, 1924 in Owen County, Indiana and was the daughter of the late Ross Myrl and Mary Catherine [Pullen] Paris.
She was married to Pedro DeLaCruz, Jr. on June 19, 1965 and he preceded her in death on January 31, 2001.
She was the beloved mother and matriarch of Mary Overstreet and husband Walter, Franklin, Patricia Browning, Indianapolis, James Lee Durham and wife Donna, Lake Hadase, AZ and John Meryl Durham and wife Pamela, Greenwood, sister of Rose Hegeman, Rensselaer, Florence M. "Shug" Cook, Brazil and Ralph M. Paris, Greencastle, 14 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
She was a secretary for St. Vincent Hospital and Dr. Frank Rabb.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 4:00 PM at the Whitaker Funeral Home, Cloverdale. Visitation will be on Saturday, July 9, 2011 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Interment will be in the Mannan Cemetery.
In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by her daughter, JoAnn Skelton, her grandson, Sonny Overstreet, her sister, Kathryn Paris, her brothers, Clyde Lee Paris, Robert K. Paris, Norman Kester and Ross M. "Junior" Paris, Jr.
