Carl went to school all 1-12 grades in Pompano Beach, Florida where he was raised. He was Valedictorian of his class in 1955. He was active in Student Council, Key Club, FTA, National Honor Society, Latin Club, Broward County Students' School Board, Junior play reading Committee, Football, Jr. Play, Sr. Play and was voted Most Intellegent by his class. He went on to college and got his degree and became a teacher at Pompano Beach High School. He was married but had no children. He was active at First Baptist Church in Pompano and you would see him each Sunday greeting people as they arrived for Church. His life was taken from him early at 56 years.Carl taught senior english at the PBSHS for 34 years and for a short period of time taught at NE HS in Oakland Park. He retired in June of 1993. He taught SS for 25 years at First Baptist Church of Pompano Beach. He is survived by his wife Helen S; brother, Larry and his wife Gisele of Pompano Beach; sisters, Ann Bond and husband Eddie of Clermont, Fla.; Carlene Hunter of Coral Springs, Fla., Glenda, Tadd and husband Greg of Tamarac, Fl; and 5 nieces and nephews. Kraeer was in charge of arrangements and services were at the First Baptist Church of PB officiated by the Rev. Walter Cooley. Carl was the teacher who most students came back to visit after graduation, said Gloria Gibson, head of NE English Dept.
