The Xenia (Ohio) Daily Gazette of Friday, 10 Feb 1893 said:
"At Wellston, O., Thursday, Miss Minnie Bunch, 22, was standing on the Pennsylvania avenue and C. H. & D. Railway crossing, watching a funeral procession passing, when she was struck by a yard engine and instantly killed. The head was completely severed from the body. A heavy rain was falling at the time and she failed to notice the engine approach."
