Earlie Ray Anderson passed away from this life on August 2, 2012 in San Angelo, Texas.
Earl Ray was born July 18, 1928, in Hext and was a lifelong resident of the Hext Community. He was raised by his grandparents, Mathew and Lillie (Bradshaw) Anderson.
Earl Ray served in the U. S. Air Force from 1951-1952.
He married Margie (Lillian) Walters April 19, 1950 in Brady, and they enjoyed 62 years together. Earl Ray retired at the age of 82, having served as rural postal carrier for 30 years. He was a member of the Menard Church of Christ.
Earl Ray is preceded in death by his grandparents, Mathew and Lillie Anderson, his father, Earl, and mother, Virginia (Minnie Bell Clark) Goble.
He is survived by his loving wife, Margie, his son Barry Anderson and wife Carol; son Ricky Anderson and wife Nell, grandsons Jess Anderson, Matthew Anderson and wife Shana, and Jonathan Anderson. He is also survived by half-brother Donnie Anderson and half-sister Judy Dicus, and a host of extended family members and friends.
Graveside service were held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 4, 2012, at the Hext Cemetery, in Hext, Texas
