Everett Bake's Body enroute to States
Mr and Mrs. J. L. Bake were notified this week that the body of their son, Pfc. Everett L Bake, who was killed overseas, is enroute to the United States. It is thought that it will be several weeks before the body arrives in Versailles for re-burial in the Versailles Cemetery. Article added by Bonnie Morris Conrad
Everett was in 321st Infantry Regiment/81st Infantry Division.
Everett died on 25 Sep 1944, in the Battle of Peleliu, Peleliu Island, Palau, in the Pacific Theater of Operations, where 2,336 men were killed, 8,450 wounded.
