Charles's parents were John & Rachel (White) Alcorn.

Charles, age 10, lived in New Hope, Izard Co, AR with his parents, John & Rachel Alcorn, ages 39 & 40, & his siblings William, age 17; George, 14; Sarah, 11; Frances, 5; & John, 6 months. His father farmed to support the family.

His father was born in MO; his mother in IL; William, George, Sarah, & himself in MO; Frances & John in AR.

Charles & his family moved to TX from AR.

Charles married Mary Frances "Fannie" Harrison in Jack Co, TX on August 10, 1896. They had five children, four who grew to adulthood:

Annie Belle "Nannie" Alcorn 19001984
George W Alcorn 19021982

On June 6, 1900,
Charles D. & Fannie M. Alcorn (shown as Allcorn), both ages 29, were renting a farm in Justice Precinct 4, Young Co, TX. They had been married 3 years; Fannie had given birth to 2 Benjamin (July 1897), age 2, & Leona, 1 (Jan. 1899). Charles supported them by farming.

On June 23, 1900, Charles's parents, both age 59, & brother, John, 20, lived in Justice Precinct 6, Palo Pinto, Co, TX. They had been married 37years; his mother had given birth to 9 children, but only 7 were living. Their son, William, age 36, who had been married 11 years, lived next to them with his family.

On May 2, 1910,
Charlie D. & Mary F., ages 39, were renting in Justice Precinct 5, Jack Co, TX. They lived on a farm located next to her widowed, mother, and brother, Andrew, and his family. They had been married 14 years; Mary Fannie had given birth to 5 children, but only 4 were living. They were Bennie, age 12; Leona, 11; Nannie, 9; & George, 7. Charlie was working away from home farming.

On January 13, 1920,
Charles D. & Fannie M., ages 48 & 49, were renting in Justice Precinct 2, Jack Co, TX where he worked farming for himself with the help of his sons. Children at home were Benjamin, age 22; Jenny B., 19; & George W., 17.

On April 17, 1930,
C. D. (shown as E.D.) & Fannie M., both age 59, lived in Precinct 2, Palo Pinto Co, TX on Oran - Perrin Road. Their son, Ben, age 32, & his wife, Belle A, age 30, & daughter, Nellie M., less than one month. Charles & Ben were farming.

Fannie & Charles were living in Perrin, Jack Co, TX when Fannie died on December 30, 1936.

Charles had lived in Perrin 35 years when he died there on December 21, 1942, from a kidney & heart problem. He had lived 84 years, 8 months, & 20 days. His son, George W., was the informant on his death certificate.
