Myra was born November 12, 1916, in Okmulgee, Okla., a daughter of Timothy and Sarah (Brooks) Watkins. She married Peter J. Dorman on Sept. 22, 1932, in Okmulgee. He preceded her in death in 1990.
Mrs. Dorman did domestic work at the former Giberman Brothers Cloth Factory for five years. She was also a cook at the Tri-City Jewish Center.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church and sang in the choir. She was the president of Pastor’s Aid and a deaconess. She enjoyed cooking, bowling, gardening and fellowship.
She is survived by her daughters, Jean (David) Fleming, Los Angeles, Calif.; and Katherine Phillips, Davenport; sons, John (Doris) Dorman, Rock Island; and Kenneth (Patricia) Dorman, East Moline; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, three sisters and a brother.
