Miriam Luke was born on June 12, 1913 to well-to-do parents in Thomasville, Georgia. She married Kelso J. Luke and they lived in Jacksonville. After his death, she bought and moved into a large old Historic House in Springfield so that she could help care for her older siblings. She and KJ (as she called him) never had any children but Miriam was obviously very maternal. She had a little doggie named Laddie which she and KJ 'adopted' just before KJ died and he was Miriam's constant companion when she was not working until he died. That devastated Miriam SO much. She worked as an Executive Secretary at the USDOL, Wage Hour, for many years. She outlived all of her siblings and when she died, she left to grieve for her Many Friends along with her Nieces and Nephew and also, her two beloved Cats.
So Much more must be written about her. This does not give an insight to just how wonderful she was.
