Our Hevenly Father called Mary Lee Barnes home on Tuesday October 2, 2001. Mary Lee was a patient at Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri when her heart stopped beating.
Mary Lee was known by many names: wife, mother, grandmother, sister, Mick or Mickey (the later two nicknames acquired as a child). She was a friend to all who knew her and loved her.Her home was always open to everyone and her cooking abilities could put great chefs to shame.
Mary Lee was born on June 6, 1922 to James Lester and Nancy Lillian (Norton) Cooper. Se was the third of eight children who were born and raised on the family farm north of Adair, Missouri.
