Homer J. Amerson, 87, died at 8:10 p.m. Tuesday in Swisher Memorial Hospital where he was admitted on the 13th.
Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday in Wallace Funeral Chapel with Earl Cantwell, minister of the Rock Creek Church of Christ, officiating. Burial was in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction of Wallace Funeral Home.
He was born March 18, 1899 in Jacksboro. He married Lora Sidwell Brown on January 31, 1953 in Clovis, New Mexico. He came to Tulia in 1952 from Shamrock and was a retired farmer and a member of the Tulia Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of the home; one step-daughter, Jenna Sue Land of Arlington; two step-sons, Rev. w. H. Fred Brown of Petersburg and Donald Ray Brown of Phoenix, Arizona; two brothers, Charles Amerson of Wellington and Cecil Amerson of Amarillo; twelve grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dean Cagle, Ed Workman, Leon Barham, Earl Cox, Kenneth McCaslin, and Gene Clary.
