BRENHAM — Services for Harry Ahrens, 92, of Brenham are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church in Brenham.
The Rev. Blair Lundborg will officiate. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
Mr. Ahrens died Saturday at his home.
He was born in Austin County and was educated in Austin and Washington County schools. He was retired as the owner of Harry’s Meat Market. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and the Sons of Hermann and served as Precinct 5 judge in Washington County.
Survivors include his wife, Lillie Ahrens of Brenham; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Florence Rose Ahrens of Brenham; a brother and sister-in-law, Hermann Jr. and Joyce Ahrens; nine sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, Hilda and Ben Tegeler, Alice Rust, LaVerne Vash and Helen and Herbert Nienstedt, all of Brenham, Mary Winkelmann of Lufkin, Mildred and Steve Franklin of Hempstead, Esther Mikeska, Alicia Tiemann and Eleanor Tiemann; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Christ Lutheran Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.W/ pix
