Curtis Lee Alexander
Curtis Lee Alexander, 61, of Waldorf, Md. passed away Saturday, Nov. 23, 2002 at Civista Medical Center in La Plata, Maryland.
Services will be 2:30 p.m. today at New Hope Baptist Church in Kerens. Interment will follow at Goodlow Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Mr. Alexander was born June 8, 1941 in Kerens. He was a graduate of D. W. Wallace High School in Colorado City, Texas. He was a disabled veteran, having served in the U.S. Army from 1962-1964 and the Air Force Reserves from 1965-1968. He moved to Washington, D.C. after his military service. He retired from the Naval Service Warfare Center, Indian Head Division, Indian Head, Md. after 29 years of government service as a physical science technician. His hobbies were sports and bowling.
He was preceded in death by his parents, J. L. Alexander and Rosie Alexander; his grandparents; and his sister, Velma Johnson.
Survivors include his aunts, Ada Mae Jordon of Kerens, Pearl Gooden of Fort Worth and Dorothy Mae Jones of Kerens; nieces, Rosetta Taplin of Waco and Vernita Johnson of Abilene; nephew, Douglas Johnson of Midland; friends, Joanne Woodland, Herman and Shirley Johnson of Waldorf, Md.; and a host of other family members and friends.
