Through hard work and careful planning this couple changed the wilderness into a place where everyone was always welcome.

He had a good voice and for many years sang at all the parties and programs.

He became engaged in all kinds of work feeding cattle, logging, farming, driving a school wagon and freighting. All of this work he did to make a living for his large family. He had a very likable disposition and made many friends wherever he went.

In 1949 the Anderson's celebrated their Golden Wedding anniversary. After the death of his wife he sold his ranch and moved to Afton.
