Margaret was the D/O Anders Birger Benson (Bengtsson) and Gerda Marea Pierson. She was the first girl to win the science award at DeKalb H.S., DeKalb, IL. She was an R.N. and had her nursing training in Chicago at Augustana Nursing School.
She married Jewell Bigham, Feb 2, 1949 in Waukegan, IL at Trinity Lutheran Church. They divorced in 1968 or 1969. Her next husband was Norman Hennig or Henning. They divorced in less than a year. Sept. 15, 1972 she finally got it right and married CWO3 Richard Story. Maggie had a stroke 3 weeks after marrying Dick and offered him a divorce. He said no. She made a complete recovery in a few months and they lived happily ever after in Contookcook, New Hampshire. Maggie died while on vacation at her step daughter's house in San Diego. When Maggie went into the kitchen from their travel trailer she said, "Something is very wrong." Those were her last words. She died at Sharp Hospital in San Diego.
