"Adams-Minor - Thanksgiving morning at 7 o'clock, by Rev. Dr. Miller, at the residence of the bride's father, H. Clay Minor, Mr. Robert Adams, son of Major Dawson Adams, and Miss Clara Minor, all of this place.
This young, happy and good looking couple immediately started on a visit to Washington City, intending to remain at the Capitol some two weeks. May they enjoy themselves through life as we enjoyed the cake?"

"Death of Mrs. Clara Adams
Mrs. Clara Adams, wife of Robert Adams, died at the residence of her husband in this place, last Thursday evening last, aged 22 years.
Mrs. Adams had been in declining health for nearly a year, and though rallying occasionally for a few weeks at a time, finally sank beneath afflictions hand and passed peacefully away. She leaves a husband and child and numerous connections to mourn her loss. She was the eldest daughter of H. Clay Minor."
