Edward David was the grandson of Owen and Sarah Schell Edwards and Frederick John and Margaret Kessler Bahr [see memorials], and the son of Frederick and Margaret's 3rd child, Harvey Lewis Bahr, and Annie May Edwards Bahr.
Edward David was of the first three born in Cumberland (possibly Mt. Savage). Edward's siblings were Bessie, Frederick Harvey Jr., Norma Virginia, Cora Sarah, Raymond Wilbur, Elmer Leo [see memorial], and Earl Leo. He also had an adopted sister, Amanda Ella [Wright].
On Jan. 10, 1914, Edward married Helen Grace Smiley (who died a year after him). They were married by J.G. Dunn.
They had one child, daughter Helen [see memorial], who never married.
According to Baltimore City Directories, Edward held various jobs in Baltimore City. By a 1920 census, he was a supervisor at the "Baltimore Sun" and lived at 937 W. Franklin St.
The Bahr family records have his signature as a guest at his uncle Leonard's (Leonard Bahr) funeral in 1941 in Lansdowne.
Edward's April 26, 1942 military registration reads he lived at 827 Fulton Ave. and that he worked at J.W. Gravel at 2427 Arunah Ave. His military physical description declares he was 5'8", weighed 140 lbs., had blue eyes, brown hair and dark complexion.
It is not known how he died.
