Mrs. Gordon M. Zoerb, 57, of 1040 N. 40th St., Manitowoc, died late Monday evening, Jan. 10, at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Paul United Methodist Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. Glen J. Siferd will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Zoerb, nee Angeline Schmidt, was born May 16, 1925, in the Town of Rockland, daughter of the late Carrie Schmidt and John Schmidt. She attended school in Reedsville and was graduated from Reedsville High School in 1942. She was married to Gordon Zoerb Sept. 4, 1948, at Reedsville. The couple resided in Sheboygan, Clinton, Iowa, and Appleton before coming to Manitowoc in 1964. Mrs. Zoerb was employed with the City of Manitowoc Police Department as a switchboard operator, retiring in 1980. She was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women.
Survivors include her husband, Gordon, two sons and daughters-in-law, Douglas and Pat Zoerb of Milwaukee and Timothy and Pat Zoerb of Brooklyn Park, Minn.; a daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Rodney Anding of Arena, Wis.; her father, John Schmidt of Reedsville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Arline and Ross Hacker of Arizona City, Ariz., Phyllis and Dr. Zane Pautz of Milton, Wis., and Gladys and Calvin Huber of Mequon, four grandchildren, neices, nephews and cousins.
Friends may call at St. Paul United Methodist Church from noon Thursday until the time of service. Memorials may be made to St. Paul United Methodist Church or American Cancer Society. There will be no Wednesday evening visitation at the funeral home. Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is in charge of funeral arrangements.
