George G. "Cookie" Zimmer, Jr., age 57, of 918 Chicago St., Manitowoc, died
Monday evening March 25, 1996, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center as a
result of an accident.
Funeral Services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 28, 1996, at Klein and
Stangel Funeral Home. Rev. Dallas Bivens will officiate with burial at Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born May 11, 1938, in Two Rivers, son of the late George Sr. and Lillian
Paul Zimmer. He was employed as a mail courier at the Manitowoc County Courthouse
and also at Ruzek's Standard station.
Survivors include his girl-friend, Marie Randall and her daughter, Loralyn,
Manitowoc; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Scott Bender and his friend, Cheryl,
Two Rivers, Kurt Zimmer and his wife, Galt, Calif.; one grandson and one
granddaughter; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lawrence and Martha Zimmer, Two
Rivers, Delmar and Helen Zimmer, Manitowoc; two sisters and a brother-in-law,
Donna Fallier, Two Rivers, Sandra and David Abromovich, Manitowoc; a sister-in-
law, Clara Zimmer, Manitowoc; five nieces, Jackie (Dave) Simon, Milwaukee, Bonnie
(Bob) Farmer, Two Rivers, Charlotte Doxtator, Manitowoc, Tina (Pat) Zyduck, Two
Rivers, Cheryl Angus, Two Rivers; one nephew, John Hammernik, Milwaukee. He was
preceded in death by a brother, Vernon Zimmer.
Friends may call at the Klein and Stangel Funeral Home from 3 p.m. until the time
of services on Thursday.
