Woman Found Dead in Home
Mrs. Anna Zimmer, 60, of 435A North Fifth street was found dead in her gas-
filled upstairs apartment shortly before 3 o’clock this afternoon by police.
The latter were summoned by the downstairs tenant who reported odors of gas
in the home.
Coroner Theodore Teitgen said all four burners in the gas stove were turned
on.
Mrs. Zimmer has been living with a married daughter in Newton but returned
to her apartment today.

Funeral services for Mrs. Frank Zimmer, 62, of 435A North Fifth street, whose
body was found in her gas-filled apartment late yesterday afternoon by police
officers after they broke open the door, will be held at 8:30 a.m. Saturday
at the Urbanek and Schlei funeral home and at 9 o'clock at the Sacred Heart
church, the Rev. L.M. Schorn officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen
cemetery.
Mrs. Zimmer, nee Anna Koerner, was born at Whitelaw in 1884 and 45 years ago
was married to Mr. Zimmer. They lived on a farm on route 5, Manitowoc, until
21 years ago when they moved to this city. Prior to his death in 1933 Mr.
Zimmer was an attendant at Union park. Mrs. Zimmer was a member of the Catholic
Women's club and the Alter society of the Sacred Heart church.
Survivors are two daughters, three sons, a brother and two sisters.
The body may be viewed at the funeral home where the rosary will be recited
at 8:15 tonight.
