John R. Zimdar, 67, of 450 E. Reed Av., Apt. 7, Manitowoc, died Sunday, Dec. 19, at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday at Parkside Funeral Home and 9:30 a.m. at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Leo J. Schmitt and burial will be in Everrrean (sic) Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Zimdar was born Oct. 7, 1915, at Green Bay, son of the late Hugo and Rose Schraw Zimdar. He married Eileen Mullen, Sept. 1, 1945, at Pacific Grove, Calif. Mr. Zimdar was currently employed by the Sting as a bartender. He was a veteran of World War II and a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church and the Manitowoc Yacht Club.
Survivors include his wife, Eileen; a son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Kathleen Zimdar of Manitowoc; a brother, Robert A. Zimdar of Sparta, Mich., a grandson, Scott Joseph Zimdar, other relatives and friends.
Friends may call at Parkside Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday where a prayer service will be held at 8 p.m. by Deacon Donald Gigure.
