Mrs. Eileen C. Zimdar, age 83, of Parkview Haven Apartments, 1325 N. Eighth St., Manitowoc, entered eternal rest Thursday afternoon, Aug. 19, 2004 at her son's residence in Manitowoc, where she had been residing the past several days. Private funeral services for the family were held Saturday morning at the Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home. Deacon Kenneth Nelesen officiated and burial followed at Evergreen Cemetery. Eileen was born April 17, 1921 at Omaha, Neb. She was the daughter of the late Cornelius and Charlotta Glassburn Mullen. Eileen was employed locally in past years as a licensed beautician. On Sept. 1, 1945, she married John R. Zimdar at Pacific Grove, Calif. He preceded her in death on Dec. 19, 1982. Eileen had been a member of Holy Innocents Catholic Church. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Jim and Kathleen Zimdar, Manitowoc; one grandson: Scott Zimdar, Manitowoc; along with other relatives and friends surviving. The Harrigan Parkside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 628 N. Water St., Manitowoc, assisted the family with funeral arrangements."
